Karachi port provide 24/7 safe navigation to the port traffic includes tankers, modern container vessels, bulk carriers and general cargo ships up to 75,000 DWT. The port has 30 dry cargo and 3 liquid cargo handling berths including a privately operated container terminals – Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) and Pakistan International Container terminal (PICT) which are fully equipped with all modern technologies.
South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT) is subsidiary of (HPH) has been developed at Karachi Port. It can handle mega 16.5m deep draught container vessels. It is equipped with latest state of the art container handling equipments. Karachi port is facilitating around 1600 ships annually while there is enough capacity to handle more cargo as the current occupancy is around 55% only.
The port is also equipped with backed up system for good transit and storage areas, with rail and road services for handling, storage and clearance of cargo.

Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT)

Pakistan’s leading container terminal operator, a subsidiary of Hutchison Port Holding (HPH) has been in operation since 1998. It is located within the Port of Karachi, a natural deep-water harbour west of the Indus Delta on the Arabian Sea. The facility has five berths equipped with modern container-handling equipment and TOS.

Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT)

PICT another modern container terminal operating at berths 6—9 and has been in operation since 2002, East Wharf, Karachi Port. It is under the complete management of ICTSI, equipped with modern container handling terminal equipment and handling and TOS.

South Asia Pakistan Terminal (SAPT)

SAPT is a member of Hutchison Port Holdings limited (HPH). This is the only container terminal designed and built as a container terminal in Karachi Port. Spread over an area of 85 hectares capable of berthing largest vessels with depth alongside 16.5 meters, 25 across super post pamamax quay cranes and 1 over 6 hybrid RTGs.

Oil Terminals

KPT has three multipurpose oil terminals; OP-1, OP-2 and OP-3. These terminals have capability of handling crude oil, edible oil, chemicals, molasses etc. High safety precautions are implemented on these terminals.
